UNISOFT® Styrenic Block Copolymers (SBC)
United Soft Plastics’ (USP) Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs) include Styrenic Block Copolymers (SBCs), Thermoplastic Vulcanizates, and Acrylic based TPE’s. They have a long and successful history in many application segments including medical. USP’s portfolio is comprised of different technology platforms, ranging from standard TPE products, to those with specialty and customizable characteristics. Each product line offers a range of grades based on durometer with clear and opaque materials also available.

Standard Series
UNISOFT TPE™ is USP’s basic compound series. This product line offers excellent properties, ease of processing and colorability. Design engineers appreciate the functionality and feel of these compounds, as well as the ability to customize based on color and hardness. UNISOFT TPE™ is available in natural, clear and black variations with durometers ranging from 25 Shore A to 90 Shore A.
Adhesion Series
UNISOFT ADHESION™ is designed to offer excellent over molding characteristics for a wide variety of thermoplastic substrates, including PC, ABS, SAN, PPO, HIPS, PS, PBT, PET and many more. USP is a leader in adhesion development and this particular compound series provides enhanced bondability when compared to competing solutions. UNISOFT ADHESION™ is available in durometers ranging from 35 Shore A to 90 Shore A.
Acrylic Series
By combining the softness of a TPE with the clarity of acrylic, USP offers the ability to achieve transparency that is unmatched by most polyolefin and TPE materials. UNISOFT POLARIC™ is available in a wide range durometers range from 35 Shore A to 35 Shore D. These materials also offer excellent UV resistance, improved oil / fat resistance and adhesion to a variety different substrates.
Haptic Series
UNISOFT TOUCH™ is a new line of TPE materials that offer a smooth, dry surface, with low tack and a soft feel. This product line is available in a range of durometers > 45 Shore A. In addition, UNISOFT TOUCH™ offers improved oil / fat resistance and is more cost efficient than siloxane-based solutions.
Cross-Linked Series
In particular industries, many part drawings contain pre-specified TPE-V materials. UNILINK TPE-V is a great alternative if a specification cannot be changed. UNILINK TPE™ is based on cross-linked EPDM/PP and is available in a wide hardness range from 45 Shore A to 50 Shore D. UNILINK TPE™ is available in basic natural and black color options.
Specialty Performance
UNISOFT SPECIAL™ is a product line offering TPE solutions for specialty applications, as well as products with unique material specifications and performance criteria. Variations are available for USP Class VI requirements, as well as application specifying plasticizer free, high resilence, UV stabilized or in comforance with EN 71/3, UL 94 VO, RAL GZ 716/1 and CSTB DER/BV-PEM.
