Foster Supply Chain Solutions is a business unit of Foster Corporation. Since inception in 1989, Foster Corporation has been serving medical device manufacturers with industry leading technology and service in biomedical polymer compounding.
In 2005, Foster Corporation began leveraging medical market intelligence with existing supplier relationships to offer the distribution of unfilled biomaterials to the medical device community. Since that time our portfolio has grown exponentially, with more than 10 strategic suppliers and 20 brands represented.
Our Philosophy
Foster Supply Chain Solutions is a “Market Development Distributor”, providing the medical device industry with specialty performance polymers.
Beyond traditional distribution activities, Foster Supply Chain Solutions recognizes and prioritizes the value of application development within our targeted industry. Our goal is to discover, develop and assist in bringing new applications to fruition. Using our industry knowledge and experience, Foster has been able to leverage the technology platforms of our partners to assist in the qualification of the next generation of medical devices.
Our technical team is available at every stage of the product life cycle, providing industry leading expertise in material selection, development, processing and regulatory compliance.
Our Facilities
Foster Supply Chain Solutions operates within two facilities in the United States, including our new building in Putnam, Connecticut and our west coast plant in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
Our two distribution facilities form the basis for our contingency plan for moving raw materials from one facility to the other. Polymer distribution capabilities at both plants are similar, with sufficient supply at each location. If necessary, material can be moved from one location to another to ensure continuous supply to our distribution customers.
